The images in the albums here were taken during the past 10 years using a Ricoh KR10, Canon EOS50E, a Sony DSC-P71, and most recently a Canon EOS300D. The albums were all prepared using IMatch - an excellent image management database.

The Katelios group is a NGO that observes, researches and promotes the protection of the Loggerhead Turtle (Caretta caretta). The photographs here were taken when we met up with the group whilst on holliday. The early morning beach walks became a regular and very enjoyable part of out holiday, we came away knowing a lot more about the plight of the loggerhead turtle.
If you are planning to stay in Kefalonia for a holiday then take some time to visit the environmental centre that is run by the group in Katelios. If you can't get to the centre then have a look at their web site - especially the advice on how tourists can help.
Old Skala was destroyed in the 1953 earthquake. If you are staying in Skala it's worth getting up early (to avoid the heat of the sun) and walking up to the old village just for the views.
Kefalonia hosts some truly spectacular views. These are just a sample. All were taken on a drive from Skala to Fiskardo.
